Asher Dreise is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. He completed his training at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto. Asher has vast experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma. He has worked closely with survivors of abuse and understands the sensitive nature the work requires. It is his belief that the abuse has taken one’s choice away and that therapy needs to help the survivor find his or her lost voice and begin to empower where power has been taken.
One of his favourite clinical experiences is working with couples. He is honoured and privileged to help create connections where, over time, connections have been lost. He finds the experience of reconnecting within relationships to be life- giving and a privileged honour to be a part of. His couples work is guided by the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approach. In his training with this approach he has received a number of hours of supervision with Dr. Sue Johnson, creator of this model. It is Asher’s continued privilege to be working under the supervision of Dr. Kerris del Rosario, an established practitioner with extensive experience and knowledge in the field.
